signs of being outside

3/4/2018 11:31 AM

Well, this is just a picture proving that I was outside today. I had to stand up to take this picture because for whatever reason, when I was in the chair, the numbers on the thermometer didn’t show-up very readable. As you can see, it says that it’s almost 75 degrees, but since it’s cloudy and slightly windy, it certainly doesn’t feel that warm, especially in a short sleeve shirt and pajama bottoms.

This is yet another picture taken while I was sitting on the front porch drinking a cuppa coffee. Ya know, I should really try to find out what kind of bush this is, but since the only reason that I need to know it is so I can tell people in the blogosphere, I don’t worry about it.

This is sort of my front yard (to the right of the tree). I believe that is a pecan tree. It doesn’t drop many pecans. What it mostly drops is dead branches in the summer, and leaves in the fall. I have been told that all I need to do to have it start growing pecans, is to feed it. But you know what, that doesn’t seem important to me.

Mouth guards-chores-sunshine

3/1/2018 10:07 AM

Wasn’t going to write until I had been up for longer, then thought that I don’t have to share this with the world anyway, so might as well do it now. I thought I was sleeping pretty well, until my cheek and gums started to feel irritated by the current mouth guard I’m using. I tried for a couple of hours to relax, but after a while, I realized I couldn’t relax enough to get back to sleep. And this was after getting up and taking the 8 o’clock dose of Carbatrol. Anyway, I will be going to Walgreen's later and getting the brand of mouth guard that the dentist recommended last year, that seemed to work pretty well. Then to make me feel even worse, after I took the fucking mouth guard out and slammed the drawer closed with it in there, I had another TN attack. Granted it didn’t last long, but when you’re already not feeling well, and you’re not expecting it, I think the pain seems worse. I am up now and have taken one of the Naproxen (Aleve) tablets that the dentist prescribed for pain, as well as one of the Vimpat tablets that me neuro prescribed for TN pain. I’m hoping that the 2 combined will make the cheek and tooth/whatever pain go away, or at least be greatly diminished.

Since I’ve been up, I’ve fed the cats, cleaned their litter box, soaked up water that they splashed out of the water pan, turned my coffee pot on, and rinsed my mouth out with warm salt water. I honestly don’t know if my cheek is irritated on the inside, or if it’s strictly the Trigeminal Neuralgia making it seem that way.

I see some sunshine, so maybe this won’t be such a bad day after all. No sure what the temperature is supposed to be today, but it’s already 56 degrees Fahrenheit (13 Celsius). Hope you have an awesome day.

Dentist appointment

2/28/2018 10:58 AM

I got up at 9 this morning so that I could be ready to leave for my dentist appointment by 10 to 10 (5 minute drive). Unfortunately, the last 45 minutes of being in bed weren’t the most comfortable, because the tooth on the upper left side/back of my mouth decided to start hurting for the first time EVER. I made the appointment with the dentist because I was having pain in the lower left-hand/back area of my mouth. I’m thinking the new pain was stress related. The dentist thought maybe it was/is because of decaying, because that tooth has a large filling in it. Anyway, the good news is: She doesn't think it's tooth related. Bad news: She thinks it's TMJ related. Bad news #2: Still in pain, but prescriptions have been called in. So now I just wait for the pharmacy to notify me that they're ready.

I suppose I don’t need to, but I will tell you that I’m not feeling very well. Therefore this is going to be a short post. Hope you have a great day!

Tingles-bins-cane

2/27/2018 12:37 PM

I don’t know what the deal it, but for some reason the inside of my left cheek is tingling more than it has for a while, so I’m drinking my coffee slow. A friend texted me and said she is going to call me later. I hope that goes okay and I don’t have to talk much, because I’m not sure if I’ll have much discomfort or not. Now I did sleep pretty well, though for a while before I got out of bed, I was noticing that increased tingling. I also noticed that if I kept my mouth shut, with my teeth together, that it didn’t bother me as much. I also noticed that the back corner (at the jaw hinge) isn’t bothering me at the moment, so maybe that’s a good sign as well as the tingling (?). I don’t know. I was planning on going to the dentist today and asking about the hinge-pain, but if it has stopped, there’s no reason to.

I think I finally have the email-program’s notification/reminder pop-up set for the correct day to remind me to remind my son to put both of the bins out at the curb every other week. The trash/recycle people emptied each bin today. Now I won’t have to depend on watching the neighbor’s every week.

I went to the grocery store yesterday, and took my new cane. I did use it to get from the house to the car and it worked just fine. I couldn’t really tell if the wider foot helped much, since the ground isn’t level, and is covered with leaves. Unfortunately, because of the wider foot, I can’t just slide it in between the seat-belt and door when I get into the car. I have to put it over the center, which I suppose is no big deal, just something I’ll have to get used to. However, using it from the car to the baskets inside the store seemed to go better (more stability). After getting back to the car after shopping though, I had to adjust the length and make the cane a little taller.
