Just writing (or not)

Just have not been into just writing. Why? It may be because a few months ago I decided to give the task (for lack of a better word at the moment) of "no complaining" a try. It's actually going fairly well. Also been trying to tell myself that things just are as they are. It is what it is, etcetera. Nothing mysterious or conspiratorial. Things don't happen to just piss me off, make my life more difficult or whatever, they just happen. Like that old saying goes, "Shit Happens! Deal with it." Part of 'it' may be a feeling that sometimes, not always, but maybe people would like to read more than 1-140 character spaces of my prose. Then again, it's really quite interesting to me trying to be more precise/exact in saying what I need to with as few words as possible. I've heard or read that there is a program or are programs that enable you to post MORE than 140 characters on Twitter, but I won't swear to it. To me that just seems to defeat the purpose of Twitter. If you need to write/say more than Twitter allows, just write a blog, email, Facebook 'Note', or whatever. KWIM?

Wow! I think that's the quickest I've ever gotten a comment on my blog or anything for that matter. Thanks :-)

I find that when I make myself write a blog, it's usually crap. otoh, Twitter is more of a conversation, which is cool. The 140 character limit is a bit of a challenge, but it's tightened up my writing quite a bit, making me focus on saying things as simply & directly as possible.

Arp - That is one of the things I like about twitter, that it doesn't have a lot of long stories/rants, etc. Short and to the point! :-)
