Park day, clothes line

spinny.jpgWe had a good day yesterday. We went to the park and played with a few other families who're home educating. Played some frisbee, whacked tennis balls with the appropriate rackets, spun a kid on a watchamacallit (spinny thingy), and visited. As far as I know, all the kids had a good time. Yay! *smile*

line.jpgThen today, after the first load of laundry was dried in the dryer, I put a 2nd one in only to find out, after a 60-min cycle and 2 30-minute ones that the heating element quit working. So what did we do? Well, we broke-down and put up a clothes line using the cable from our dog's 'run' that she rarely used anyway. In other words, we were strongly pulled to the energy saving way to dry laundry. *smile*

After getting help from my wife and daughter and then resting for a while, I went out to the wood-shed and split several more oak logs into quarters and halves.

Thank goodness you had that wire! Just think, now your utility bills will go down!

BTW, utility companies (at least in our area) use a flat woven nylon "rope" to measure distances. Once they use it, they throw it away. It is GREAT! It has something like a 2500 pound test and works great for everything from tying down a load to the dump to a clothes line!
