Early bed time

It's not even 9 in the evening but I'm thinking about going to bed. Spent between 1 and 4:30 at the doctor's. Then I took myself to Jack in The Box for a late lunch/early supper. Then I went over to the office and got a cup of coffee because I read that drinking caffeine first thing in the morning helps your body & brain wake-up, so I figured I would give it a go in late afternoon. It didn't really do much for me. I guess I was already worn out. Took a nap for about an hour after I texted with dear daughter for a few minutes. She had to go to bed, so I wished her a good night and sweet dreams, and told her that I love her very much. Then I took a nap from 6:15 to 7 PM. After that I went to the pharmacy and picked up a prescription. Was feeling pretty good after I got home, so I  washed the inside and outside of the windshield and the front driver and passenger windows. After that was done I came back into the apartment and realized that I was exhausted... again. So now that pretty much everything that needs to be done is done, except vacuuming which I'll either do tomorrow before noon or talk my dear son into doing it, it's downtime. I would do it this evening, but it's not that important because the only visitors we ever have are people we're related to. It's not filthy anyway, so it can wait until tomorrow. Dear son stayed up all night and didn't go to bed until noonish, so he's asleep. I don't feel like watching a movie on Netflix by myself, I've already read a little of a new book and am not in the mood for reading anyway. Hence why I'm strongly considering going to bed. Tomorrow I'm going to see if I can find a very inexpensive class in Tia-Chi.

Hope you had a great day. And may tomorrow be the best day of your life...so far! Good night!

I bet you would like tai chi. It is very slow soothing motions. I had a couple seminars in it while I studied kenpo karate and it was really neat.

I've read it can help people with balance problems, and I definitely qualify.

There are a lot of commercials that have people doing tai chi in them recently. It makes me feel irritated every time I hear of it. Silly of me, I know, but there it is. Yoga never bothered me that way. But I also don't recall it in a bunch of commercials. You are already doing yoga, aren't you? They have similarities of purpose. I bet they would compliment each other.

No, I'm not actually doing Yoga. Mostly because it's *really* hot outside right now and even a little exercise like Yoga would be too much for me. I don't know how well I could do it with the cooling vest on. So as of right now I'm not.

I looked-up the cost of Tai Chi classes last night and I can't afford them. But there are videos on YouTube that I could watch and practice with.

If it is too hot for yoga isn't it too hot for tai chi? I believe tai chi is the more active of the two. Yoga can be done inside and the vest would interfere with few of the positions and even there it would be the more advanced form of those positions. You will be able to find yoga stuff online also. I don't know about tai chi but I learned basic yoga in a group but much preferred doing it by myself. I still use some of the positions to stretch throughout the day but do not actually still practice. I always see people doing tai chi in a group but I bet I would still prefer solo practice with that too. But that is me and I enjoy spending time with myself. Some people feel more empowered in a group, for yoga, I just found a group distracting. Groups are good for quite a few things, individual journeys within the self is not one of them.

Yeah, it's too hot for tai chi too. I'm just trying to find something that I might be able to get Eldin to do with me. Actually, I know Rain wanted me to try tai chi because she had heard good things that it did for balance. Plus I know she thought that maybe he would benefit from it because it's low impact.

I'm just searching right now (still!) to find something that I can get into without overdoing it. Lack of stamina sucks!

I asked him if the reason he spends so much time on the computer is because he doesn't know what else to do, and he said that's pretty accurate. I said, "Well, that's why I asked you to look up things to do in Austin so we could check them out." Sigh.
